Perfect location in Carvoeiro - great value in the off-season
We booked this hotel through a 3rd party website having been to Carvoeiro for many years in the peak season. This time we tried a 3 night break from 30th Jan - 2nd Feb. As we know Carvoeiro very well we knew that location is the best thing about this hotel - right in the main square of the village, with beautiful sea views and the beach right on your doorstep.
We found the hotel staff very efficient, polite and helpful when asking for directions etc. We booked for a room with an inland view but when we arrived we found we were allocated a sea facing room with a balcony - a real bonus. The room was clean and had everything we needed, fresh towels every day and soap/shampoo/bath foam provided.
There are plenty of great restaurants around. Smilers bar is always good for cheap and quick snacks and drinks - don't be put off by the look of the red seats outside, the staff are very friendly and the food is of good quality.
We will definitely return to this hotel again.
Great Hotel and Great Location
We have just returned from the Hotel Carvoeiro Sol where we had a well earned restful holiday. Located in the bustling village with a good selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, the hotel is clean and comfortable and serves a really good English breakfast as much as one can eat.
The staff were great, professional and very helpful. They helped us discover the real Algarve with their suggestions of what to see and where to go as well as how to get there. We are now looking forward to our next stay at the Carvoeiro Sol.

I have just returned from a week at the Hotel Carveiro Sol and had a marvellous time. The air conditioning (very efficient) was not noisy, but its hum cut out any remaining noise and I had no problem sleeping. One paid 20Euros for a safe in the wardrobe, but this was refunded at the end of the stay.I found the hotel immaculately clean and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good - cooked English (eggs boiled, fried or scrambled) (lovely tasting bacon!), or continental (cereal, meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juice, bread rolls, croissants, tea, coffee). The swimming pool was not large, but it never got crowded. One thing to be aware of - the shallow end was 1 metre 20 deep, but only for a third of the pool; it then shelved very steeply to a depth of 2 metres 70! Excellent hotel situation, literally 30 seconds walk to the beach (which was small compared with other resorts, busy, but not over crowded), lots of good restaurants all around. There is a stage on the beach where good quality live music (not too loud!) was played most nights. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend both the hotel and the location.
A good base for a short getaway
Enjoyed our visit immensely. the staff were very freindly and helpful. Breakfast was splendid. Lovely room had 2 balconies. Wish we had eaten dinner there but so much choice in village.
