“Very enjoyable stay”
The staff were all very friendly and I certainly enjoyed the stay. The room and en suite were a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the shower was nice and efficient. The hotel had a nice pool and gynasium, and a comfortable restaurant with a nice breakfast, and I found the food to be of good quality. If there was a downside, food and drinks purchased within the hotel were a bit expensive, but then again, with a hotel in such a location, it is to be expected. However, there are many food outlets within easy walking distance of the hotel, so you do have options about where to eat. I always got my alarm call on time, and one morning, i was in the shower when I got my call, and a member of staff came to my room to double check I was awake and ok, which was very good service, I thought.
“Convenient, comfortable and great value!”
We stayed for one night before flying out of Gatwick to Antigua in the morning. The room wasn't huge but fine for one night. Bathroom was also small but had everything we needed. Bed was comfy, room was attractively furnished/decorated and very clean. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat at the hotel. We had a perfectly good carvery at the Toby Inn less than 5 minutes walk down the road (think it was called The Barn). We booked the airport parking deal (£86) which included the hotel and 1 week parking which I think was great value and convenient - you park overnight at the hotel, drive to the carpark in the morning (10 mins), take their shuttle to Gatwick (10 mins) then get the shuttle back to the carpark on your return - all very well organised! Highly recommend!
“Excellent overnight stop”
We stayed overnight twice at this hotel due to connecting flights. We always try to stay at Intercontinental Group hotels especially Crowne Plaza's.
The hotel is @5miles from Gatwick and much cheaper than the airport hotels - the journey only took @ 8 minutes.
The Club Rooms are an addition to the existing building and as such are quite a long way from reception - Club Rooms are on each floor with the Club Lounge on the ground floor. Please note that the Club Lounge is not open at weekends.
The rooms are excellent - very tastefully decorated the bathroom had a walk-in shower - which was very powerful, our bathroom even had a TV at the end of the bath.
Staff and check-in were very helpful and efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
Restaurant food was to a very high standard and serving staff were friendly and attentive.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel - it is ideal if you have a stopover and if you have a few hours to spare go into Crawley shopping only a short taxi drive @ 5 pounds - it has all the usual shops - a five minute walk from the hotel is a large Sainsbury store if you have forgotten anything.
“Quiet and comfortable”
My mother and I stayed here for one night prior to leaving for Italy. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet which was perfect. We ate at the hotel restaurant and although the prices were fitting for an airport hotel (high) the food was very good and the service was fine. We took the shuttle bus to the airport with no problems. I would stay here again if I were flying out of Gatwick in the wee hours.
“Great deal”
We stopped here before flying to the states with a parking aph deal. Was not expecting too much but the room was really new clean, bed nice and nice decor. Usuall expensive price for food and drinks but I always expect that when in the south hotels. Recomended
